The Role An opportunity has become available for an experienced accountant to join us. The role will report to the Financial & Accounting Manager. The core responsibilities will include but is not limited to the following: Forecast and control of treasury, establish policies and monitor them Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulation Prepare & reconcile monthly Profit & Loss Report and Balance Sheet Maintenance of Accounts payable and receivable Compile and analyse financial information in preparation for entry to the accounts Reconciliation of accounts Preparation and analysis of monthly sales report against budget Provide advice, assistance and early warning if required for possible problems Budget and forecast preparation Advice on financial matters Essential Criteria The successful applicant will ideally possess the following: Tertiary education qualifications in accounting area Understanding of accounting principles desirable Multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment Previous minimum two years of experience performing the above listed tasks Intermediate MS Excel skills Ability to meet deadline Good communication skills and excellent phone manner Work eligibility in Australia, e.g. Australian citizen, permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizen.
