Due to continued growth, there is an ongoing need for this position to increase and maintain the efficiencies across our company; therefore, we are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join our growing Finance team.
You will be responsible for the overall budgeting, reporting and preparation of financial statements and will be an integral part of the business management.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet, analysis of all budget variances, statutory payments, budget preparation and profit forecasting, cash management and payroll
Manage import and distribution forecasting and budgets
Monitoring expenses and cost overruns and analysis of the reasons for any overruns and providing suggestions for cost control.
Preparation of monthly & annual financial statements for presentation to directors, management and external Accountants
Advising on strategic planning and business planning
Completing all tax-related schedules to be used for management and external Accountants
Preparation of GST and other tax related obligations.
Overseeing benefits and compensation packages
Providing financial analysis and forecasting
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have an undergraduate degree in accounting and experience in similar working environment
Other qualities and experience we are seeking are: –
Strong problem solving, analytical skills, high initiative, able to work autonomously; and
High level of attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency
Import and distribution experience is highly regarded
Possess strong staff management skills, or a strong willingness to learn, combined with the ability to effectively communicate and liaise at all levels of an organisation
Excellent time management skills and the drive to meet all deadlines as required
Attention to detail and accuracy with a focus on compliance with internal procedures
Advanced skills with MYOB are an essential selection criteria.
