About the role:
Our ICT Engineers provide professional electrical, electronic and software engineering support to maintain safe, compliant and reliable passenger fleets, while maximising performance and profitability. Providing effective engineering design solutions to emerging fleet issues and the introduction of new equipment. To support the development of industry leading maintenance and overhaul procedures by providing expert technical advice to internal and external stakeholders. The role is based in our NSW Auburn office.
Role requirements:
Good leadership and team building skills, with excellent communication and presentation skills
High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver results.
Root cause analysis and cost benefit analysis skills.
Ability to assess of technical risks, including preparation of risk assessments.
Competent in the use of MS Office products (excel) used to analysis of data
Knowledge in real-time control systems, voice and digital communications and/or software development as practiced in railway, military or heavy industrial environments.
Knowledge of relevant Australian and International standards.
Knowledge of engineering processes, including failure-reporting, investigations, and engineering change.
Specific desired skills and experience:
Degree qualifications – Computer Science, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering Degree or similar.
Engineering Qualification recognized by Engineers Australia.
Rail, aerospace, defence or similar heavy industry environment.
Meets Rail Safety Worker requirements for the role.
Salary TRP for the role: $100,521 per annum.
