Position summary
Manage the technical contractual scope of the Melbourne Airport Rail link tender and project ensuring its delivery according to the quality, cost, performance and scheduled commitment originally agreed and, if applicable, updated as a result of negotiated variation orders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the project scope evolution during tender phase and ensure that the evolution of the scope is such that product development is limited
Track and coordinate the Rail Systems Alliance Functionality against the Melbourne Airport Rail link functionality and delivery of the technical migration plan with Test and Commissioning Manager
Manage the technical contractual scope of the project
Be accountable for the customer acceptance of the project solution
Validate the technical design choices with the peers and Solution Director
Act as a chairman of Project Change Control Board (CCB)
Responsible of the project design and application engineering activities
Verify Project Safety Case (scope, strategy and exported constraints)
Functionally lead the project engineering team:
Deploy the applicable engineering process, methods & tools on the project
Manage and participate in the evaluation of the project engineering team
Manage the interface with the project core team
Provide all technical documents to the project core team members for the industrialisation, sourcing, installation, test and commissioning (product BOQ, architecture schematics, ...)
Provide support to the Project Technical Manager on execution of technical activities on-shore
Key Requirements / skills
Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or scientific subjects
Engineering background including project deployment full lifecycle view
Hands-on experience on functional or hierarchical team management
Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope
Hands-on experience on Customer relationship in contractual situations
Products and services knowledge on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
