Our business offers cleaning services (residential or commercial) in Cairns City and surrounds. This includes from Palm Cove to Gordonvale. We are searching for an accounts clerk to complete the duties listed below.
The successful applicant will be employed on a full-time basis and will be working a minimum of 38 hours per week. They need to be available between the hours of 9:00am to 04:36pm
The salary for the position is $50,000 AUD and they will receive 10% superannuation.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning and handling documentation connected with creditor liabilities and receivable. Where necessary this will involve recording cost variations and contract development.
Conduct a thorough investigation into costs of exposed expenditures, citations and appraisals including but not limited to relevant equipment, wages, transport and other standard costs. Calculate and analyse these to ensure are cost-effective. Provide recommendations where necessary. This
After investigating all costs data compile the data in preparation for required financial reports such as operating budgets and profit and loss estimates.
Accommodating and resolving invoices and dispatching payments to ensure everything is paid in a correct and timely manner.
Where necessary be the point of contact and communicate with the banks to arrange reconciliations.
Reviewing disbursements and allocating to the specified/correct budget accounts. This involves summarising and keeping record of all expenditure and receipts.
Preparing business summary reports setting out total costs, inventory, stock changes, selling costs and profitable funds.
The accounts clerk is also responsible for comprising and consistently re-evaluating standard expenses/value for frequently used materials and supplies. They need to be actively assessing if item costs are manageable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
It is preferred that the accounts clerk has a relevant AQF Cert II or III.
It is preferred that the accounts clerk has 1 year experience working in a similar position.
