Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Accountant with an eye for detail and experience within the NDIS framework.
The successful applicant will be confident in reporting to Government, and will have proven experience in processing payments, maintaining tax affairs and payroll. Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced role will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities:
Fortnightly Payroll processing
Processing payments under the NDIS
Monthly reconciliation of superannuation and payroll tax
Assisting with payroll queries as required
Daily bank reconciliations
Weekly KPI reporting and Balance Scorecard reporting
Accounts receivables management: invoice preparation, processing direct debit and credit card payments, debtor management, and collection
Accounts payable management
Reporting to Australian Taxation Office as required
Reconciling government subsidy payments and family out of pocket payments
Reporting family enrolments and attendance records to Centrelink
Responding to enquiries from management, families and employees regarding accounts matters
Manage Accounts inbox
Assist in the preparation of annual financial budget and cash flow
Other Accountant duties as required
Selection Criteria (this must be addressed in your application):
Qualifications as an accountant and at least 3 years’ experience working in an assistant accountant/bookkeeper role
Experience with processing payments under the NDIS
Experience reporting to Centrelink or another Government agency using an online software platform (preferably Harmony Web)
High Competence using Xero Accounting Package
Experience managing a high-volume workload, meeting strict deadlines and ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Strong analytical skills, able to challenge the status quo, and present alternative solutions/form conclusions.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
High competence using Microsoft office suite of programs, online databases, technology platforms and/or a willingness to learn how to use them
