About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced, helpful and technical IT Support Officer to monitor, maintain and provide technical support and assistance across our business. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and liaising with the Systems Administrator, you would be joining a high performing operations team and also working with System Engineers, Technical Officers and Software Developers who love what they do, work closely together and are passionate about using the latest technologies.
The work is varied where each day is different, and the role will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
Performing and planning installation and configuration of internal computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
Ensure BCP (Business Continuity Plan) is current and achievable. This includes ensuring backups are occurring and up to date.
Ensuring ongoing adherence to and compliance with ISO 27001 certification standards.
Contribute to cross-functional teams and supply IT expertise to customer projects.
We are looking for someone who will proactively identify areas for improvement, define solutions and achieve endorsement to implement them. You will also be interested in and keep across the latest trends and technologies and strive to bring the best offerings into the business. We’d expect you to be security conscious and consider information security as an aspect of all IT activities.
This role will require limited travel between our two main offices in Sydney and Canberra as well as occasional work outside of normal business hours.

Skills and experience:
Essential
This role requires an Australian Citizenship as you will be sponsored for a Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
Technical Qualifications (e.g. Engineering, ICT Certifications)
Proficiency in Active Directory and Group policy, Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems including Windows 7, 19, Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
Proficiency in Cisco Networking Products
Proficiency in VMWare Products
Desirable
Existing Security Clearance highly regarded but not mandatory.
Experience working within an ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Experience with the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM)
Experience with the ASD Essential 8
To be considered for the role, you must be an Australian citizen, and be eligible to hold a Defence security clearance to NV1 level.
