The opportunity
Qirx is currently expanding our technical team and are recruiting an additional full-time technical consultant into our managed services team.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who wants to work in our managed services team and deliver high quality IT solutions to our clients. We have clients across many different industry verticals, including government, education, building, not-for-profit, sciences and healthcare.
To be the successful candidate you will need to work flexibly within the organisation as our needs grow. Whilst the role is focussed on our managed services support delivery, there will be other related tasks and opportunities for additional responsibility or to work across other business areas such as the professional services project delivery.

Working in this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Operating as part of the service desk team, on a shift roster (early start, late finish shifts on business days) to answer calls and support tickets quickly and efficiently.
Logging information into ConnectWise Manage to record all work performed.
Fault resolution of end-user devices as well as back-end server infrastructure.
Triage and escalation of issues to the senior resources where required.
Creation and management of support tickets with our up-stream providers.
Managing the end-to-end process of the support job for the client, regardless of escalations during the process.

Microsoft Windows workstations.
Microsoft Windows server.
Microsoft Intune.
Microsoft Office 365.
Virtualisation and HCI platforms including VMWare, Nutanix, AHV and Hyper-V
Networking concepts and management of devices from Cisco, Fortinet, and Extreme Networks.
Ticket management processes, lifecycles, and products such as ConnectWise Manage.
PC, server, and networking hardware support.
To be successful in this role, you need to have:

Have demonstrated experience in IT support of managed services customers and good references for both your technical work, and your character and teamwork qualities.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
A demonstrated capability for punctuality and communication.

Have an Australian drivers licence.
Have Australian citizenship and be eligible for a government security clearance.
