The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior IT Assistant to join an energetic and supportive corporate team. Reporting to the Facilities Manager and the Senior IT Specialist, you will assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
The Role
As the Junior IT Assistant, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties;
Troubleshoot and resolve predominantly Level 1 & 2 support issues face-to-face, over the phone and using remote support applications
Install, configure, support, back-up and maintain the organisation's computer hardware, software, servers, networks, printers, and IT peripherals.
Ensure jobs in the Helpdesk system are prioritised and actioned whilst maintaining accurate notes on status, resolutions, and escalations
Facilitate user onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
Required Skills
Experience with Windows 10 Desktop Environments
Experience with G-Suite & Microsoft (Office) 365
Basic Computer Hardware Knowledge – PCs, Laptops, Printers, etc.
Working knowledge of general computing and networking concepts as well as an active interest in developing – Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 client OS, Active Directory, Office365, OSI/ITIL model)
About You
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or a Strong IT base understanding - qualifications in IT are beneficial but not essential.
Has a high standard of written and verbal communication
An outgoing personality with a customer service mindset. You’re always happy to help someone, you’re patient, tolerant and have an ability to prioritise and multi task
Self-motivated team player with the ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines and see tasks through to completion with minimal supervision
A can-do attitude and the ability to think outside the box when solving complex problems
