About the Role:
As a Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Managers on multiple projects from end to end, up to the value of $5m. This will include design management, tendering, contract administration, programming, WH&S systems and financial reporting. You’ll be working in a highly experienced and enthusiastic team, having exposure to all parts of the project process and be responsible for making key decisions to ensure a successful outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain WH&S systems and complete on-site risk assessments.
Assist the project management team with preparation of project proposals, including reviewing all project documentation and determining the needs, requirements & constraints of clients.
Preparation and updating of project programs.
Work with the project team to achieve the best possible outcome for the project.
Maintain a positive client relationship.
Contract administration such as tendering, issuing subcontracts/purchase orders and head contracts.
Maintain a professional approach towards clients, Skelcon employees and contractors.
Management of overall quality, ensuring all relevant standards are met.
Represent both the clients and/or organisations interests from inception to completion.
Manage project budget and provide accurate project financial reporting to accounts and company director.
Qualifications and Requirements:
0-2 years’ experience in a project management role.
Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Relevant tertiary qualification or studying in construction management.
Work Health & Safety general construction induction card.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
Knowledge and understanding of practical and theoretical aspects of project management
Experience in strategic planning and risk management.
Capable of using Office 360 suite including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.
Valid driver’s licence.
Available to work Fulltime Monday – Friday
Available to start ASAP.
