About the role
You will support the delivery of the Department’s core research and advisory operations. As you will often be the initial point of contact, exceptional interpersonal & communication skills and customer service skills are essential and fundamental to the roles.
What will your day involve?
Provision of high level customer service to clients, stakeholders and visitors
Filing, mail receipt and sorting, photocopying, maintenance of registers, procurement of goods and services, meeting and event support and data entry
Electronic records management and collecting and compiling information and preparing documentation and correspondence
Responding to enquiries and escalating and redirecting issues as required
Updating and maintaining databases
Our ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role you will have efficient and effective proven administration skills, with the ability to provide ongoing high quality customer service in a high-volume work environment. You will be confident using Microsoft office or similar – MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint. You will also be required to use custom software applications. You will be challenged to proactively manage competing deadlines and maintain a current knowledge of procedures and guidelines across a wide range of administration and operational activities.
You will be confident and possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills to ensure positive customer/client/stakeholder/community relations and experiences.
