This is an initial 6 month contract role and is open to those based in Brisbane. The role available with a specific domain focus for each:
Infrastructure (data centre)
Design
It is expected that you keep abreast of both the current operational environment and other in-flight projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the designs and build meet the principles of the separation program and that there is clear tactical and strategic alignment with the internal technology teams.
The scope of this role will include, but is not limited, to the following areas:
* Foundational Services - IPAM, NTP, DNS etc
* Monitoring Toolsets - SCOM, Icinga, SolarWinds, etc
* Management Toolsets - Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, RHEL Satellite, etc
* Automation Platforms - VMWare Automation, Chef, Team City, etc
* Data Centre Management / CCTV systems
* Backup Platforms Dell/EMC Networker
During the project implementation phases you will maintain an active engagement and review across changes, as well as supporting the internal technology teams to understand the key elements of the solution design.
You will assist Project Managers to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle.
You should have the following skills and experience:
* Accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
* 5 years' experience as a Design Lead in large-scale corporate ICT environments.
* Extensive experience with major data centre builds / relocations or experience with multiple technology transformations in either the network / compute domains.
* Excellent at assessing and communicating technical options, implications and recommendations via clear, concise artefacts.
* Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams.
