Working in the Operations Technology space, the Dev Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that the development, implementation, and support aspects of core airline systems are effectively, accurately, and promptly executed. With a deep knowledge of the Aviation and Airline Technology domain, coupled with significant experience and expertise in Operational airline software development, the role requires innovative thinking, independent thought leadership and solid people skills. In addition to the above, in the role you will be required to: • Deliver system outcomes in accordance with agreed governance standards, methodologies, work practices, systems, and tools • Effectively work with key business stakeholders and project teams to gather requirements & capture business needs utilising various methods including meetings, workshops, process analysis, data analysis and investigative research • Have extensive experience in airline system integration and automation including Sabre, SITA, ARINC, Airbus, Boeing, and Flight Dispatch systems • Manage and drive the tracking of system development and progress milestones • Lead and participate in the development of systems that require airline, aviation, and industry input • Obtain key inputs from stakeholders, SMEs, other technology members, architecture teams and vendors, and identify solution interdependencies • Liaise and engage with external system and software vendors, support entities and other delivery partners, including partner airlines, to align processes and cross-functional outcomes • Work with key airline stakeholders to deliver project initiatives. Requires a deep understanding of airline business objectives and challenges, delivering technical solutions to those challenges and always thinking about the next piece of innovation. • Demonstrate solid networking, integration and collaboration skills across delivery, development and technical support teams, Technology, the wider business, and Jetstar’s partners and vendors across the aviation community To be considered for this role you will have: • Tertiary qualification in Business / Information Technology or other relevant qualifications • Minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience working in an airline systems role • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing aviation systems for Flight Dispatch, Crewing, Airports, Aircraft Communication and Operational Control Centres. • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to extract operational benefit from process re-engineering, resourcing, and scoping of key technology initiatives • Experience with creating and reviewing documentation for Technology processes and change, and understanding airline business drivers • Experience in working and delivering outcomes in large scale Technology project initiatives in the Aviation domain • Experience in leading and manage the creation and collation of system and software documents, repositories such as GitHub, and the provision of evidentiary artefacts for internal and external audits • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with the following platforms and systems: - Sabre Roade, Movement Control and Crew Control. - NFP by Airbus - Airport and FIDS technology - Flight Dispatch systems - Mobile Flight Deck systems (iPad / EFB) This is a challenging role and we will expect great results from the successful applicants.
