Our core service offering consists of execution, clearing, financing, stock borrowing and lending, settlement and custody. Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to provide support for local and regional applications within the business as part of the Application Management and Support (AMS) team. You will be responsible for supporting exchange related tasks within the regional IT team from a projects and day-to-day activities point of view, and ensure all systems and services are stable and managed to AAC standards. This role is a permanent full-time role and you will report into the Regional Head of AMS. You may be required to provide support outside of business hours. Role Responsibilities - Provide analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance for new and existing software - Assist local, regional, and global business users to solve queries related to locally developed and third party applications - Assist project teams at the design phase, UAT stage and complete handover upon new project completions - Ensure incidents are investigated and/or escalated in a timely manner Role Requirements - Tertiary qualification within IT or a related discipline - 5 years’ experience working as a Java Developer, preferably within the finance industry - Good working experience with Python and/or Perl - Experience working within the Linux operating system and related functions - Experience with programs such as Spring MVC, Bootstrap CSS, Maven, GIT, Jenkins, and CVS - Strong problem solving and analytical skills We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who embraces change, is not afraid to fail but learns from it and is motivated to become better every day.
