This role sits within the Production Operations team and reports to the Operations Manager. This will be a highly interesting and valuable role, which will see you have significant impact on our business. Job tasks and responsibilities Prepare nesting’s for laser cutting parts Operate a Laser cutting machine Engineering drafting/solid modelling Producing technical/manufacturing drawings Managing manufacture of samples prior to full production approval Product testing and quality inspection Production Administration and creating job sheets Skills and experience Must have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) Experience in programming and operating CNC machines Experience with Solid Works Experience with sheet metal parts design and fabrication will be advantageous Experience working in a manufacturing environment Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously Highly motivated and excellent time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to quality You must have a hands-on approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, dependable, can make decisions with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This person also needs to have good planning and organisational skills. Building excellent working relationships is also another key to this role.
