The Administration Officer is a role within the Business Services Unit and is accountable to the Team Leader, Administration for:
Providing an administrative service which contributes to the efficient operations of Youth Justice, including providing human resources and information and facilities support undertaking a range of financial related tasks.
Key Outcomes/Accountabilities:
Provide general administrative service related to human resources, financial services, facilities management, travel requirement, fleet management and information systems and technology within Business Services and provide support to other Youth Justice Business units as required.
Prepare payment of accounts and follow up of vendor enquiries, maintain petty cash, advance account, undertake recoups and bank reconciliations and undertake other financial services involving clients support services, including recording on spreadsheets.
Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate records management procedures, archiving and retrieval of all business unit and client files.
Maintain inventories and records on asset management and undertaking basic installation and maintenance of computer and office equipment and provide staff with training assistance and advice in all areas related computer usage and difficulties encountered.
Maintain staff records, preparing reports, and minutes, providing advice on a range of business procedures and related issues and liaising with the other teams within Business Services.
Assist in the development of appropriate emergency management and business continuity strategies and procedures with respect to DHS business and assist to deliver all relevant Workforce Health and Safety requirements.
Assist in the design and development of new computer reports, update and enhance reports, undertake analysis and implement new systems.

Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
