Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with a team of sales, design, and project professionals. Your role in the Company will require excellent drafting/design skills and strong communication skills, with the ability to multi-task, remain organised, and plan ahead to ensure timeframes are met. Previous drafting experience in the construction or design industry is essential for the applicant.
Daily duties would include:
Undertaking on-site measures to gather relevant information and measurements,
Liaising with clients to determine their project design brief,
Preparation of concept and working drawings and detailed sections as required,
Consult with third parties including Engineers and Council,
Manage council submission process,
Attend meetings with design, project, and sales teams,
Ensure timeframes are met for project design deliverables,
General administrative duties.
Role requirements:
Tertiary qualification or higher as a Building Designer and Draftsperson,
Experience in a similar role,
Proficient in REVIT based drafting essential,
Excellent verbal and communication skills,
General understanding of construction costs and ability to design to budget,
An understanding of the NCC and relevant architectural Australian Standards.
