Examples of tasks you will undertake include:
Build and maintain a robust and highly-scalable cloud infrastructure to support 180k monthly active users;
Propose solutions to improve the performance and the quality of the platform while reducing the risks through monitoring and automations
Responsible for identifying, planning and implementing the tools that will allow software engineering teams to release features quickly, frequently and confidently;
Analyse, review and implement operational controls to allow a greater observability of the systems;
Ensure that our cloud infrastructure remains secure and compliant;
Be the point of contact and the subject-matter expert for the engineering teams when it comes to the cloud infrastructure;
Contribute to define and set the key operational targets (KPI) for the squad; and
Mentor and guide the engineers to effectively learn devops practices and be in a position to embrace the "you build it, you run it" mindset.

We’d be excited if you have the below experience…
Previous experience as a Backend engineer in a cloud environment, having used languages or tools such as Typescript and NodeJS;
Experience with software development practices and technologies (ie. design, implementation and deployment of applications in any modern language);
Experience working with AWS primitives (SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Lambda, etc.);
Understanding of micro-services and event-driven architectures;
Strong to agile mindset with the willingness to question the why and continuously improve;
Advocate of good software design and quality best practices;

Like to solve problems through automation
