Your role
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolving GIS application problems.
• Configure and implement ArcGIS Enterprise in an AWS environment.
• Provide spatial expertise, support, assistance, and guidance to organizational staff
• Support End-user-compute resources, such as Amazon WorkSpaces and Amazon AppStream, for ArcGIS Desktop and related spatial application
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
• Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and solve issues proactively; before they affect business productivity
• Work closely with end users to identify GIS requirements, technical issues, analysing current business processes and implementing best-practice solutions.
Skills and experience
• Spatial experience
• A good understanding of GIS and how it is used in organisation to facilitate business outcomes.
• ESRI Enterprise products configuration, customisation and use.
• Proficient in administering the Esri Enterprise stack including ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Hub, ArcPro and ArcMap.
• A strong understanding of web maps, authoring of data , publishing services and Esri web applications such as Web App Builder
• A good understanding of the Esri Enterprise geodatabase and its administration.
Nice to have
• AWS Cloud environment ( eg. AWS EC2 ,RDS, Active Directory, Auto Scaling, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Application Load Balancers
• Lambda, IAM, Route 53, AWS SSO)
• PowerShell scripting and CloudFormation
• Proficiency in using Esri's javascript, arcobjects and python api's for maintenance of existing customised solutions.
• Proficiency in using FME to maintain existing Extract, Transform and load processes
• Knowledge of Esri's imagery formats and mosaic datasets.
