Job Role and Responsibilities
Receipting and allocating all payments on a timely basis and ensuring the accurate and current status of all outstanding debt (Accounts Receivable).
Raising Credit notes and releasing orders on hold as per Coats policies for customers.
Maintain up to date billing system and ensure correct prices in the system to the customers, updating Special Prices in the system for the customers and updating Annual price increases.
Perform account/debtors’ reconciliations, bank reconciliations and research/resolve any payment or invoice discrepancies.
Monitor Customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities and constant follow-up to the customers for ensuring Collection targets and overdue reporting to internal stakeholders.
Be part of the Coats Finance team, providing assistance to the financial team in achieving the company goals.
Credit Control Administering controls over the credit worthiness of customers, setting new customers in the ERP system, as well as controls over invoicing and receivables processing in accordance with Coats policy.
Ensuring that Coats Australian complies with local legislation applicable to it, with specific responsibility for aspects of law relating to corporate entities, GST compliance and invoking protocols.
Customer Service backup as and when required.
Skills and Attributes: An Ideal Candidate
2-4 years experience in similar Accouting Position
Basic Accounting Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Payable functions.
Microsoft Excel and Word (Intermediate)- Vlookups, Outlook experience is a must.
A full Australian driver license and ability to travel as needed to meet clients
Must be driven, have determination, integrity, and good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated to achieve targets and acquire new clients/ new business.
