We are an Aussie Wholesale company with over 100 years history. A rare opportunity has opened up and we are seeking a switched on Company Accountant for an exciting role. The business has continued to do remarkably well despite Covid-19 and continues to grow. The role sits within our Melbourne base within a finance team of 7 and offers great hands-on development for the successful candidate.
The role
With your Intermediate Excel and Power Query experience you will be responsible for;
Financial Accounting and Reporting
Preparation of month end accounts
Maintenance of Cash Flo Statement, P&L and Balance Sheet
Reconciliation of general ledger and sub ledger accounts
Daily cash flow management and forecasting
Assist with the development, maintenance and compliance with internal control processes
Adhoc support with budgeting, analysis and other requirements of the finance function
Compliance to statutory law, finance, and tax regulations
Taxation compliance including assisting with BAS, GST, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll tax, income tax and FBT
Development, maintenance, documentation and ensuring compliance to internal controls, accounting procedures & policies
Solving technical accounting issues as required
Assisting with the payroll function
Responsible for processing General Ledger payroll journals
Assist in the maintenance of accurate and complete payroll master data
Develop and maintain payroll budget reporting, payroll exception reporting, controls processes to validating accuracy of payroll
About you
Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance experience
Experience with NAVISION / Business Central (Nav365)
Professional qualification or studying towards CPA or CA
Experience across a SME (ideal but not essential)
Able to work in Australia
