Participate in the design and development of products in an expanding range of advanced industries, such as vision systems, precision optics, automotive lighting, renewable energy and healthcare.
The role:
Work with our customers and internal team to develop innovative product design concepts and manage the design process to quoted timing and costs
Develop product validation and quality assurance plans to ensure new products reliably meet stakeholder requirements
Support the delivery of engineering projects smoothly into production in accordance with organisational policies, processes and standards
Work collaboratively within a project team in achieving successful project launch to meet all cost, quality and timing targets
Ensure all regulatory compliance and customer requirements are met though all stages of new product introduction
Provide a high level of customer service for all internal and external customers, including resolving engineering concerns with customers
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
The candidates will need to be able to hit the ground running and get involved from day one, so engineering graduates with 5 years experience in design engineering, and in related industrial settings would be preferred.
About you:
Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
Prior experience in Automotive field preferred but not essential
Have a passion for the design and development of innovative new products
Must have professional engineering qualifications in mechanical or mechatronic engineering
Experience in the design of complex plastic / electronic assemblies for a mass production environment would be beneficial
Experience in CAD/CAM design, proficiency in Catia V5 software would be beneficial
