bout the role:
Our established and growing team is looking for a Civil Engineer Technician with 2 years’ experience in the Civil sector. A Civil Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in civil engineering design, construction, and operations, from start to completion, liaising with the client on a daily basis. This would include the preparation of Civil Engineering documentation, and delivery from master planning through to detailed design and construction. Successful applicants will possess a sound understanding of civil engineering design principles and experience in preparing technical drawing packages.
The position will offer a competitive base salary of $60,000 to $66,000 plus superannuation
The successful candidates should:
• Conducts tests of construction materials,
• prepares sketches and tabulations and assists in estimating costs in support of Civil Engineering Professionals and Engineering Technologists.
• Providing support to civil engineers in the design, construction, and management of a variety of projects
• Preparing detailed building plans
• Surveying sites and arranging for soil and rock samples to be analysed
• Ensuring a project matches client specification
• Calculating the amount and type of materials needed
• Ensuring work is carried out according to deadlines
• Reducing a project’s impact on the environment
• Working on-site and in an office.
• Inspecting project sites and evaluating contractors' work to detect problems
• Preparing reports and documenting project activities
