Project Engineer
This is a great opportunity to join our client, an established company that offers uncapped career opportunities and a chance to work on a diverse range of projects.
This particular role suits a Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Building & Construction Management or Civil Engineering graduate or equivalent that is looking to start out full time with a specialist concrete placement contractor. You will be working alongside a project manager in a Project Engineer role.
Your core tasks will include:
based on site working directly with site supervisor / leading hands and reporting to the project manager daily
Review scope of works, construction drawing specific to site, various site functions such as pre and post reports, tool box meetings daily etc.
Liaising with sub-contractors and clients daily
Carry out site inspections & attend sub-contractor meetings
Project financial budgeting and resource planning; E.g. Monthly invoice process to client and profit loss statement monthly reporting etc.
Distribution of information to site from head office. E.g. updated plans etc.
Ensuring WH&S & environmental requirements are met
Candidates need to demonstrate:
Concrete construction experience will be look highly in appointing the correct candidate
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
White Card
Drivers Licence and own car / ute a must
Efficient in the use of Microsoft word, Excel & PowerPoint
Basic understanding of Work Health and Safety Regulations to the construction industry
Eagerness to learn from a highly experienced management team
Self-driven, ambitious and good working attitude, a team player and reliable
Excellent communications skills: written and oral
Ability to interpret scope of works and specifications
Ability to read and interpret tender drawings and must have an eye for detail
Above average computer skills is essential and must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Exceptional construction knowledge
Ability to capture historical information and report on findings
Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships in the construction industry
