About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be mainly responsible for estimating and monitoring construction costs for all classes of building and types of construction, and your day will consist of:
Estimates and monitors construction costs from the project feasibility stage, through tender preparation, to the construction period and beyond.
Studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control.
Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
Liaising with foremen, site managers, contractors, and other consultants.
Understanding contractual terms and conditions.
Preparing financial forecast for clients.
Skills and experience:
A bachelor’s degree in project management or construction management majoring in Quantity Surveyor
A methodical way of thinking.
Teamwork skills.
Detailed knowledge of existing technology in the field, and complex regulations.
The capacity to create detailed reports that are easily understood by a wide array of people.
Problem solving skills.
