Required skills and experience:
Experience implementing responsive UI components for web applications and websites using HTML/CSS, ReactJS and/or Angular Experience using prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Axure or Figma is highly desirable Understanding of design principles and systems Understanding and implementation of WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines as a minimum, how those guidelines relate to websites and applications, and how visual design, page and code structures and attributes affect accessibility Ability to adapt to new technical skills and methodologies You’re an advocate for accessibility best practices, responsiveness, and user experience Effective communication skills with the ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders, and clearly articulate design decisions through a well-conceived rationale.
Desirable criteria
Demonstrated experience designing wireframes, user interfaces, and interactive prototypes with a high attention to detail and ability to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate designs. Tertiary Qualifications in a design or computer science/ICT related discipline (Human Factors, Communication/Graphic Design, Systems Design, Psychology, Computer Interaction, Web development etc.)
