Key Responsibilities:
This position has the following primary accountabilities:
• Initial assessment of tenders received to determine the size and scope of the project. Source all additional information as required from the client., including SOW, estimated project size, risks, and opportunities.
• Preparation of tender estimates using a combination of first principle methods, material take-offs, bill of quantities, cost studies, existing productivity rates, and similar tender submissions.
• Build internal relationships and utilise nationwide resources, including design, engineering, construction, and other estimating personnel, as required to promote the best solution for tenders.
• Build relationships with the designers and advise them on the right Freyssinet product to specify for their projects.
• Liaise with clients and attend site meetings during the tender stage to determine all requirements to prepare tender estimates and submissions, as required
• Prepare and issue fit-for-purpose RFQs to sub-contractors and/or suppliers.
• Prepare proposed methodology, proposed construction program, and all other relevant documentation necessary for the tender submission.
• Itemise risk and opportunities and prepare all tender qualifications.
• Follow up on the tender submission to determine the tender status and maintain a record of the discussion.
• Prepare and issue review documents and coordinate review documents.
• Attend and manage handover meetings with the in-house operations team, including preparing handover documents and job folders.
• Secure projects with good quality and competitively priced tender documents.
• Deliver product supply jobs per the contract with the quality requirements and manage the suppliers, including coordination of the design of the products with the suppliers and client’s designer.
