You will work closely with a team of friendly and committed staff across Australia who are genuinely interested in our customers, business success and the needs of others.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of network & IT work. Typical duties will include configuration of network equipment (Cisco & Juniper mainly) for customer use, data centre tasks, customer onsite installations, network change management and project work. It is expected this person has a sound knowledge of IT networking equipment.
Travel will be required for this role, occasionally interstate.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to understand networking equipment, routers, modems, switches to be able to assist connecting and configuring devices
Remote Management of networking devices
Juniper and Cisco troubleshooting
Involvement with the installation team regarding new project rollouts
Configuring and troubleshooting of SIP handsets and other SIP endpoints
Configuring CPE for all types of data connections
Onsite support and installation works where required
About you:
Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper enterprise networking equipment
Experience with SIP Voice technologies – Asterisk, Open-source PABX (desirable)
Prior experience with IT configuration responsibilities (desirable)
Familiar with IT procurement responsibilities (desirable)
Demonstrated ability to provide technical support
Clear and professional communication skills
High degree of accuracy, planning and organisation
Fast learner
Maintain accurate documentation and records
