You will be required:
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Cookery
At least 3 years’ work experience as Cook in Chinese cuisine
Good command of English and Chinese
Must be hardworking and able to work in weekends and holidays. The duties include preparing, cooking, seasoning and serving delicious and consistent dishes on a day-to-day basis. These duties are aligned with the nature of the business, a restaurant which serves authentic Chinese food to both local and international customers. Detailed duties:
examining ingredients and food preparation to ensure quality and sanitation;
regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, wok and other cooking equipment;
preparing and cooking and seasoning food;
weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked and seasoned adequately;
portioning food, placing it on plates, and add sauces and garnishes;
storing food in refrigerator;
developing new dishes to meet special dietary requirements;
