Job requirements

Educational requirements: Diploma or trade qualification

English requirements: Proficient English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 5-8 years

Responsibilities: • To maintain the safety of the workplaces to be as safe as practicable. This includes reporting any unsafe or potentially unsafe work practice. • To ensure product legality is met from its safety & quality aspects as well as its compliance to relevant standards. • Co-ordinate activities in their area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and associated Work Instructions (WI’s). • Communicates with and responds to requests of the Quality Assurance Manager • To complete records required by any food hygiene procedures. • Manage roster to ensure the production line are running • Ensure employees rostered have the capability and competency to complete relevant tasks • Ensure all areas of production functions are done to a high standard • Manage labour daily • Engage recruitment agencies ad hoc • Communicate with production managers regarding any production delays • Escalate any other production issues to your direct manager • RITEQ - Schedule and approve in a timely manner to ensure no impact or delays to payroll processing) Requirements: • Previous production experience - preference in a baking industry • Ability to manage a production team - experience preferred but not essential • Understanding of procurement, stock levels • Understanding of inventory management and principles • Computer Literate • Self motivation and well developed communication and interpersonal skills • Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills • Excellent time management skills • A strong work ethic • Action oriented, completing tasks efficiently, to a high standard and on time • Ability to work well within a team environment • Assist and support other departments if and when required • Able to work in a fast paced environment • Occupational Health and Safety of a factory - all areas to be tidy, organised and safe at all times and maintain GMP • Proven reliability and conscientious
