Job Description About the role As the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and co-ordination of Council's activities in providing digital, technology, systems, data and information services. Reporting to the General Manager Customer Care and Advocacy, this role plays a pivotal part in providing people and organisational leadership to deliver integrated and consistent digital and technology strategies, planning, capacity building and operations. As a member of the leadership group, you will contribute to the overall strategic planning and operational capacity of Moorabool Shire Council. Sound knowledge of information technology applications essential. Demonstrated experience in vendor liaison and proposal review and evaluation. Proven and relevant management experience within local government or similar experience in the commercial or public sector. Extensive experience in leading and developing teams, strategies and other key documents, programs and budgets. Experience in a customer oriented and service provision environment. Knowledge of the principles and practices of information technology and information management as they apply in a local government environment. Knowledge of the principles and practices of business and digital transformation as they apply in a local government setting with proven experience in facilitating and achieving this. Ability to effectively lead, direct and empower the ICT team. Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
