About the Role
We are looking for a full time Assistant Accountant to join our expanding team based in Castle Hill. Reporting to the Finance and Shared Services Director, you will be part of a small team working towards common goals. You will take ownership of a wide range of duties and be responsible for supporting the Finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
Complete month end processes, including preparation of month end reports
Manage accounts receivable
Complete bank reconciliations
Assist with the preparation and lodgement of statutory reporting requirement (BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax)
Work with external auditors to complete the year end accounts
Assist with management of workers compensation and insurance information requirements
Other ad-hoc duties as required
About You
Undergraduate degree (desirable)
CPA / CA Part / Fully Qualified
1 – 2 Years Accounting experience in a SME or large organisation
Experience with accrual accounting, bank reconciliations, month-end close process, fixed asset register
Experience using accounting software, MYOB, Xero, SAP, Oracle or equivalent
Proven track record of implementing process improvements
Desire to develop accounting and finance knowledge and skillset
Capable of working independently on tasks to deliver outcomes to an agreed timeline
Self-motivated, inquisitive and demonstrates proactiveness
Ability to demonstrate initiative to solve problems and develop new processes
