About the role Exciting Agricultural Technician position. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years hands on experience in agricultural or horticultural irrigation. Technical and diagnostic knowledge is an advantage as well as attention to detail and pride in your work. Key responsibilities Field data gathering Regular auger reports to check soil health and root development Basic plant health inspections and growth stage documentation Set up and calibration of precision ag technology on farm for data collection Assembly of data point sensors Problem solving infield on data points and other factors influencing data collection Preventative maintenance Regular travel to farms To be successful in this role you will be passionate about farming and agriculture. In addition, you will have: Mechanical and diagnostic aptitude Current driving license Good time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised Team player with Strong work ethic Good computer and communication skills Accurate reporting and record keeping Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot on the job Experience working in agricultural or horticultural sector
