About the Role
This role is role a Civil Engineer within our Perth based Civil team. You will design, plan, organise and oversee the design and documentation of civil engineering projects such as land development, bridges, sewerage systems, car parks, roads, airports and other structures; and attend site for inspections as required.
Key tasks include:
- studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
- analysing structural systems for both static and dynamic loads
- designing structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways
- assessing present and future travel flow patterns taking into account population increase and needs change
- designing the physical aspects of transportation systems such as highways, urban transit, car parks, drainage, earthworks and feasibility studies.
- liaise with local authorities, clients, contractors, other consultants and internal stakeholders.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5 plus years of experience in a consulting role
- University qualification in Civil Engineering acknowledged by Engineers Australia
- Proven experience in civil engineering consulting work
- Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with internal and external stakeholders and work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client focused team.
