ABOUT THE ROLE Our farm truck drivers work within a team to meet daily production requirements. Responsibilities of the role include: • Load and unload in accordance with farm schedules. • Safely operate various farm machinery such as a heavy rigid truck, forklift, and tractor. • Complete any required documentation or data entry in relation to loads. • Maintain vehicles and equipment in a safe and clean condition. • General awareness – knowing where your colleagues are at all times in relation to the vehicle(s). • Follow quality assurance processes and Occupational Health and Safety requirements. ABOUT YOU To be considered for these roles, you will need the following skills, experience and attributes: • Relevant Tertiary qualification and experience OR a minimum of 3 years HR driving experience. • A valid heavy rigid (HR) truck licence, current drivers’ license and current forklift ticket. • Experience in the operation of a heavy rigid truck including manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading. • Demonstrable experience in loading and unloading trucks using lifting and tipping devices. • A strong safety culture and a history of safe work practices. • Ability to estimate weights and secure products to ensure compliance with load limitations and safe distribution processes. • Experience and licensed in forklift operation and field tractor operations. • A basic mechanical aptitude to conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. • Experience in conducting quality checks on the goods, verifying documentation and obtaining certification as required.
