About the position:
As a Senior Environmental Consultant/Auditor in the Group Audit and Risk team, you will be responsible for delivering risk-based audits to improve the Group’s risk management, internal control and governance processes. This will encompass audit planning and execution, risk identification and assessment, reporting of audit findings and recommendations and monitoring and assessment of audit action completion.
This role will provide an opportunity to add real value to our organisation. You will report on audit status to Executive Management, be exposed to advisory reviews and project health checks, and build relationships with key business stakeholders.
You’ll have –
Demonstrated experience in a compliance/audit role (at least 3 years)
Tertiary qualifications in an Environmental discipline, with professional qualifications or equivalent (preferred)
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret large volumes of data and information to identify risk
Sound written and interpersonal communication skills
An ability to understand and document systems and complex processes, and evaluate adequacy of internal controls
High level of computer literacy across Microsoft Word, Excel and flow-charting software
A demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment and meet deadlines
