The opportunity The business is growing strongly and as production volumes rapidly increase, the responsibilities of the critical role of Engineering Technologist is an exciting opportunity for a suitable and experienced applicant who will optimise and coordinate the company’s manufacturing processes and associated manufacturing operations. Responsibilities • Monitoring the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machines and achieve maximum efficiency under safe operating conditions • Optimising costs of production and design • Monitoring processes to ensure procedures are aligned with engineering principles and safety regulations • Performing test procedures as and when required • Managing the handling and storage of materials products and equipment • Maintaining the required work performance and overseeing best practise waste handling • Establish specifications and supervise manufacturing to ensure all quality and production requirements are met. Successful applicants can demonstrate • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant fields • Well-developed technical abilities in material / chemical engineering as well as proven mechanical and electronic engineering skills • At least 2 years highly relevant professional experience • Excellent time management skills • Ability to work under pressure • Well-developed communication skills • Ideally you will have strong knowledge in caravan (or closely allied) industry requirements and relevant emerging technologies.
