Job description
We are a significant table grape grower based in Robinvale, Victoria. The business supplies produce to the national supermarkets as well as for export. The business is seeking a full time qualified Horticulture Grower.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
Monitoring the growing conditions of vine to identify the optimum humidity, moisture, temperature and other cultivation procedures to ensure the suitability of the quality control systems Undertaking fertigation and moisture management Overseeing all vine and plantings throughout the production cycle to ensure all tasks are routinely performed in accordance with the standard as per the requirement Planning the irrigation, fertilisation, weed, and pest & disease control schedules to ensure the work is completed as per crop requirement Determining the optimal plant nutrition, health and overall quality. Ensuring the production schedules are met for each step in a timely manner for all plantings, growing and harvesting. Monitoring crop health and fruit maturity to forecast volume and quality Work alongside with external agronomists, agriculture technologist and consultants.
