Requirements of Position • Working as Structural Engineer on a range of residential and commercial projects with our Design Engineers Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering Required Experience • 3 years plus experience as Structural Engineer in engineering consultancy • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to work in a close-knit team Roles and Responsibility • Proficiency in structural design and programs such as Procore to produce deliverables autonomously with the assistance of experienced engineers and client assessments • Proficiency in AutoCAD • Accomplish detailed engineering designs through the application of engineering principles and governing codes and standards • Coordinate with multidisciplinary professionals in devising innovative approaches to clients needs subject to senior engineer’s review • Attend client meetings and assist them in understanding the suggested solutions • Conduct site visits when necessary and check compliance of as built to design drawings • Draft technical reports for senior engineers and clients • Assist with on-site management to ensure project success • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects • Responsible for RFI and submittal process • Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned engineering projects • Coordination of all site logistics, material delivery and resource allocation • Liaison with the Project Management team to ensure budget and time constraints are met • Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications • Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions • Managing daily, weekly, and monthly programmes • Subcontractor management • Flexible to stay on site while delivering the project • Assist in tendering and business development activities when not on site • Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines • Adhere to WP Projects standards for documentation control and quality assurance
