We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join one of Australia’s largest insurers on an exciting new project to work on it’s new insurance brand. You will be a critical member of the engineering team delivering high-quality designs, code, documentation with innovation work in the pipeline. This will be a full stack role with the majority of the work being React/Node focused with web applications that are public facing, they will need strong back end experience integrating RESTful API’s into web applications. They are open to multiple locations within Australia as the team is spread across Sydney and Melbourne. They have a great team culture and offer flexible wfh options. Responsibilities: Work with both the technology and business teams to enhance and maintain our website and related technology stacks. Own and drive relationships with internal technical stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate requirements into solutions Work closely with architecture and technical BAs to build a state-of-the-art digital experience for our customers Maintain high-quality code development practices Understand complexities of rapid development in a CI/CD environment Understand opportunities for automation and process streamlining Skills & Experience React Experience (1-2 Years) Experience with Node javascript Experience integrating RESTful API’s into web applications The ability to adapt to new technical skills and methodologies quickly Strong communication skills
