Job description:
The purpose of the is to maintain and improve our existing computer systems, including procurement system, supermarket operation system, grocery delivery system and security system. In addition, the computer network and system engineer will be taking charge of our upcoming innovative projects, including online shopping and delivery system and central kitchen production system, in order to support our fast growing business.
The day to day responsibilities of the computer network and system engineer include: • Taking charge of engagement with the external consultants for our new projects; • Planning, developing, deploying, evaluating and optimising computer network and system services; • Configuring, administering, maintaining and supporting the company’s IT network infrastructure, ensuring the overall operational readiness of the computer network systems across all stores and the headquarter; • Researching, analysing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to maintain integrity and optimal network performance; • Providing troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network problems; • Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems; • Providing network programming to address specific business needs and requirements, especially supporting the operation of the storefront; • Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers, and workstations; and • Monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance.

Essential qualifications and experience: • Bachelor in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field; master is preferred • Demonstrable 10 years experience in collaborative team environment • Strong experience in SQL, Python, C and scripting languages • Strong deployment automation experience • Database development and management experience in large and complex projects • Strong experience with network development and support and monitoring network usage • Highly developed analytical and interpersonal skills. • Ability to speak Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred but not essential
