About the role We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer. You will be expected to follow company procedures and policies that fall in line with your skill set. Main Responsibilities • Apply effective manufacturing and engineering principles to ensure that materials, equipment and tools are in good condition and ready for production including developing and executing preventative maintenance schedules. • Responsible for effective planning, allocating resources to execute the manufacturing plans so that daily production targets and quality outcomes are achieved. • Responsible for the implementation, operation, quality assurance, safety, management, and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. • Analyze data obtained from investigation of physical and chemical properties of metals.
• Analyze operating records and test reports by personal observation & investigation, determines conformance to establish procedures, methods, and standards.
• Conduct physical, chemical and process examinations, using metallurgical equipment for routine, special and experimental investigations. About you
• 3 years relevant experience in forgings or related production industry.
• Tertiary qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar. • Have an excellent knowledge of design for manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
• Have experience in manufacturing process improvement and implementing automation.
• Sets high standards for personal performance.
• Ability to multitask and manage time.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and material selections.
• Planning and people skills.
• An appetite to jump in a get your hands dirty with a flexible and positive attitude.
• Willingness to follow all safety and operation procedures and guidelines is essential • The ability to see projects through from conception to completion.
