Major objectives
Manage the operational components of the Project Management Plan including, but not limited to:
Deliver the project on or better than the contract program.
Deliver the project within the budget or better.
Achieve a defects free completion.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Manage the activities of all site staff, sub-contractors, and trades suppliers
Positively influence site safety culture and enforce compliance with procedures and all relevant Legislation and Codes. Promote total job safety and environmental awareness by employees, subcontractors and all persons in the job vicinity and ensure that safe and environmentally acceptable working methods and practices are implemented
Prepare the site logistic plan including site amenities, housing, entry/exit traffic management, cranage, hoisting, security, waste management
Ensure that subcontractors complete their work in accordance with the scope of work and programme provided by the Project Manager.
Perform random inspections on subcontractor’s work ensuring the work conforms to the relevant codes, specification and drawings and sign off check sheets where applicable.
Together with Project Coordinator ensure that a continuous inspecting and testing programme is implemented and monitored during the full course of the project.
Assist in the overall project management by constant review of construction methods and site performance and coordination of trade contractors against planned activities and programmes.
Maintain records for any causes for extra works, daily events and progress works, subcontractor request for information | clarifications.
Identify, and assist Project Manager in resolving any design, constructability or documentation issues.
Maintenance or records, drawings, programmes and site manager’s diary are kept in accordance with Company procedure.
Develop accurate and detailed fortnightly site production schedules
Coordinate trades and sequencing of works to maximise production
Collaborate closely with Project Management on all matters
Review drawings, identify design issues and promptly raise with the Project Manager
Proactively and routinely seek out cost saving opportunities for the project
Facilitate positive consultations with all project stakeholders
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the industrial sector with a proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large scale industrial projects from start to finish
Agile and adaptable as a leader with an ability to ‘find a way’ to deliver projects
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to identify project cost and time savings across all stages of the build
High level of attention to detail in within scopes, specifications, and technical drawings
Has the energy and enthusiasm to be a driver of site safety not just a passenger
Strong and flexible leader who can maintain positive and productive relationships on site, with the Project Team, with clients, and all other stakeholders
