The Candidate
For this we require a senior analyst programmer who can undertake the creation, deployment and maintenance of highly complex, sophisticated and functionally effective SQL within the architectural frameworks of both SAAS Cloud infrastructure and advanced data warehousing The ideal candidate will have both Microsoft and Cloud certifications covering SQL, AWS/ Azure; design, delivery and optimization in SQL Server and Azure ADF; knowledge of best practice in big data management; practical experience in supporting these technologies through in-depth enterprise level equivalent environments.
Responsibilities
• researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs • identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods • testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in relevant applications programming languages (SQL) within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification • writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards • writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures • providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costings for recommending software purchases and upgrades
Qualifications
• Proven track record of building and delivering: SQL, Cloud based solutions, Data Warehouses, Big data fabric, RDBMS technology • Minimum 5 years experience in senior software delivery • Past experience in delivering SSRS,SSAS,SSIS and data warehousing • Capacity to concurrently execute day to day operational delivery pressures whilst remaining aligned with stakeholder expectations • Strong understanding of performance related issues arising from complex delivery. • Strong communication skills • Practical knowledge in SDLC with exposures to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), Software as a Service (SAAS), Cloud.
