As an IT Systems Engineer you will report to the Infrastructure Delivery Manager and assist them in effective management of Server and Network infrastructure, which exceeds customer expectations. We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
The ability to prioritise Infrastructure related incidents/problems/requests
A strong ability to multitask
Experience in managing end-user expectations
Demonstrated ability to balance project work with operational activities
Effective time management
The ability to provision, support and operate compute and storage infrastructure from design through to implementation and includes - system maintenance
Robust skills in technical planning, standards and solutions to meet business needs within technical area(s) of expertise
Execution of all aspects of planning, development, implementation, support and continuous improvement of relevant infrastructure, including on-call support as required
Experience in implementation and maintenance of security systems
Previous experience in preparing and maintaining documentation according to company documentation standards
Expertise in establishing and testing effective disaster recovery plans (documentation, timelines, operation etc.) to encompass key business systems
A strong awareness of technology advances
Assessment, selection and implementation of technology and communications solutions in a similar sized business environment
Experience in communicating with and managing the expectations of stakeholders at all levels of the business
Willingness to provide after-hours on-call support rotating roster
About you Highly Desirable Attributes include:
Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline
Microsoft Certifications (MSCE 2012+)
AWS Certifications
Citrix Cloud (XenApp) Certification
ITIL qualifications
Experience in designing and implementing active directory
Small and large project coordination with strong multi-tasking skills.
Desirable Attributes include:
10 years IT experience
Okta Certification
Any relevant Security certifications
Automation, scripting and DevSecOps experience
Technical knowledge of relevant technologies used across the organisation
Understanding of Network switch/router and WiFi configuration (eg. Cisco/Meraki)
