Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for –
• working with stakeholders to formulate and document demand requirements • identifying, investigating, and analysing business processes, procedures, and work practices • identifying and evaluating production process inefficiencies and recommend optimal practices and system functionality • using project available methodologies, principles, and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects • creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training classes • using system data and process modelling to provide required reports to manage Operations KPI’s • Produce accurate and achievable production plans using the integrated manufacturing system • Releasing production schedules for designated production departments • Provision of weekly briefings on upcoming production requirements with daily updates as needed • Working with the team to identify, investigate and analyse business procedures and work practises. • Develop project plans • Revision of schedules as required due to resource availability changes, shortages, interruptions or for improved optimization • Determining work constraints impacting production scheduling • Researching and investigating causes of critical schedule delays along with recommend actions to correct • Maintaining raw inventory ensuring critical stock holdings are kept as required holding level
You must have:
• An ability to multi-task and work autonomously in the scheduling role. • High attention to detail with the ability to quickly interpret, analyse and action complex scenarios and changing information inputs into the production schedule to manage competing priorities. • The ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the production, quality, sales, and warehouse teams. • Experience in cable industry will be highly desirable but not essential. • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task. • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. • Team Player – with an ability to interact at all levels. • Analytical thinker. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Email) • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline will be highly regarded
