Minimum requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or similar (STEM) • 10+ years commercial Java experience • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and multi-threading • Experience with the design and implementation of RESTful APIs • Web development experience, including HTML, JavaScript and CSS • Experience with JavaEE application servers such as Jetty, Tomcat or Glassfish • Knowledge of modern development tools such as NetBeans and their rich client platforms for application development • Experience working with Agile methodology using tools such as Confluence • Experience in developing secure and high-performance backend applications • Experience with test-driven development, test automation & continuous delivery • Experience in scripting for automation (Bash & Shell) • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and reliability • Passionate about technology, science and engineering • Good time management skills and work ethic; self-motivated and autonomous • Motivation and willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines • Fluency in spoken and written English and strong technical writing skills • Excellent communication skills
The following would be an advantage
• Experience in Linux systems administration, including IT security (firewalls and operating system security) and administering web servers such as Apache • Experience in developing seismic data acquisition systems, monitoring and control • Right to work in Australia
