Key Responsibilities
• Support Development Manager to ensure commercial and residential buildings project are well maintained, updated, and remodelled as necessary, and that all aspects of paperwork are taken care of in a timely manner. • Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures. • Procuring materials by learning to read standards and drawings. • Consulting with external Architects, Engineering Professionals and contractors to ensure the proper operation of each project. • Monitor changes to design, ensuring projects meet target deadlines and expectations. • Negotiating with occupants and subcontractors associated with the construction cycle to guarantee projects are finished on schedule and inside financial plan. • Assisting Development Manager and together with external consultant analysing structural systems and designing structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways. • Coordinating and execute survey tasks and directly supporting the senior surveyor. • Incorporating project, the board plans and venture structures as needs be. • Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications. • Organising obtainment and conveyance of materials, plant and equipment. • Arranging building safety inspections and submission of development plans, planning proposals to local councils. • Managing the progress of subcontractors' work and make sure it’s within the project scope and standard. • Arranging engineering documentation for development application submission. • Inspection of construction materials supplied by the contractor to ensure compliance with Australian building regulations. • Examination of the contractor's documents, such as business insurance, bank guarantee, industry license, etc. • Ad hoc tasks as required
