About the role
As the newest Frontend Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ongoing development and maintenance of Winning Group eCommerce websites (Appliances Online, Winning Appliances etc.).
We work across the latest technologies on an ever-evolving stack which grows as the business grows. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to change and adapt alongside the rest of the development team, and bring ideas to the table when you see room for improvement. Your work will be seen by tens of thousands of customers every single day, so you will have a focus on quality which makes sure those customers come back again and again.
What you day-to-day might look like;
Regular engagement in team Scrum activities, including stand-ups, sprint planning, review, and retrospective Participate in peer code reviews, and promotion of coding standards Communicate with product management to clarify and expand on development requirements Engage with QA to ensure tasks are properly tested before delivery Planning, scoping and estimation of development tasks based on supplied requirements Develop features and updates in alignment with UX specifications
A bit about you;
3+ years of experience in web development Experience with a leading front end framework (Angular 2+ highly regarded) Demonstrated expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS) and JavaScript (ES6+, TypeScript) Demonstrated knowledge of modular code design Experience in responsive UI development Ability to write reusable, testable UI components Ability to work within team/work management tools such as Jira Experience with version control tools such as Git Computer science degree, or equivalent professional experience
