Based in Perth, WA (Wangara) the Engineering Manager will work closely with customers in the Perth CBD and WA region. The position is full-time, working Monday to Friday with some travel. The key responsibilities for this position are: • Project Management - Administer project activities from conceptualization to execution including technical specifications, stage inspections, progress monitoring, site management and manpower planning. Establish project schedules and budgets • Drawings - interpret plans, drawings technical specifications, cost estimates, quotes and proposals. Provide advice on engineering methods and procedures • Interpreting specifications or technical issues (product or customer) whilst maintaining compliance to specifications and plans, laws, regulations and safety standards • Procurement - Procuring project material and relaying solutions to the sales team and converting requirements into final designs and scope of works, whilst ensuring engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed • Efficiency - oversee maintenance requirements • Collaboration - liaise with internal teams regarding engineering aspects of new construction and product design • Re-Engineer – Management of upgrades, re-engineering and reverse engineering, design and modifications to pumps, guarding, baseplates, and all auxiliary equipment to meet industry, product and customer specifications • Customer Service – Work closely with clients and ensure relationships are maintained.
The successful candidate will have tertiary engineering qualifications and must be able to work efficiently and accurately within a team environment, be customer focused, self-disciplined and highly motivated. Pump industry experience is essential, as well as: • A sound technical sales background in rotating equipment with emphasis on pumps and services • Prior experience within the mining industry and demonstrated knowledge of market activities, including on site, is essential • A trade background or tertiary education in a related field • Exceptional communication skills, oral, written and computer • Drivers licence • Willingness and ability to travel within WA, interstate and overseas if required.
